Our Story
In 1994, at 16, Dr. Moore was accepted into the accelerated BS/MD program at Howard University. After becoming a physician at 23, he initially chose to specialize in Internal Medicine. However, after completing his first year of residency training, he took a leave of absence to travel the world and reevaluate his potential impact on global medicine.
Upon returning to the United States, he accepted an offer to complete his postgraduate training at Howard University Hospital. He chose to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology because it is the most sustainable and efficient way for him to assist some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
Dr. Moore completed his OB/GYN residency training in 2006, and in 2008 established his first office in Forestville, MD. The practice now has six locations, including its new state-of-the-art facility in Ward 8, Washington, D.C.
In June 2020, Dr. Moore embarked on the creation of a scholarship fund for babies delivered by Moore OBGYN since 2008. Dr. Moore and Moore OBGYN have pledged to donate 1 million dollars to this fund by 2025 when we expect to see the first of our babies begin their college education.

A Global Mission
In 2018, Dr. Moore traveled to East Africa to ascertain how he could contribute to decreasing maternal and infant mortality rates throughout Africa. He then worked with Chinese manufacturers to develop a cost-effective continuous fetal monitor that caters to the special needs of low-resource maternity hospitals.
Moore OBGYN has donated 500 continuous fetal monitoring machines to sixty public hospitals in Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Eritrea. After Dr. Moore visited Ghana in 2019, the decision was made to expand these donations to include maternal cardiovascular monitors and neonatal CPAP ventilator machines.
